To work for Bruce’s Dog Walking you will need to be a committed, responsible and reliable team player, who is well presentable with good communication skills – and most importantly, a dog lover. You must be happy in the company of dogs and enjoy working outdoors, in all weathers. Previous experience of working with animals is preferred but not essential. 

There are two main types of positions available at Bruce’s Dog Walking:

1. Doggy Supervisor

You will be working in a team of dog walkers to supervise the dogs at the day care centre. This role involves taking the dogs for walks within the day centre, playing games to stimulate the dogs, feeding puppies, and helping with general cleaning of the indoor areas and vans.

The day care centre is based in Cobham, Surrey, KT11. You will need to get to and from centre by your own means. There is a train station a short walk away or there is staff parking on site.

You will need to be available to work between 9:30am – 2pm and able to commit to the same days each week. A typical shift lasts a minimum of 4.5 hours. You will be asked to sign a contract for a minimum of six months so please don't apply if you can't commit to this length of time. All applicants must be 18 or over for insurance purposes.

2. Doggy Chauffer / Driver

This is a full time role that involves collecting the dogs from the owners’ houses and driving them to and from the day care centre each day. You will be interacting with customers on a daily basis and will be a “face” of Bruce’s Dog Walking.

The application process, requirements and pay reflect the significant responsibility involved. Only the best applicants will be selected for interview. You must be available to work from Monday-Friday, 7am – 4pm. A two hour paid lunch break is included. We provide a company van or you may provide your own vehicle to our specification.

To be considered, you must:

  • be over 25 with a clean UK license (for insurance purposes)
  • have minimum 3 years experience as a professional, full time driver
  • like dogs and be comfortable handling dogs
  • be a fluent English speaker with good communication skills
  • be reliable, trustworthy and well organized
  • you will be CRB checked. References are essential
